This insight crystallised during my time as a sports coach, where I learned that peak performance comes from combining technical skill with mental resilience and team dynamics. Whether coaching athletes to championship victories or leading the Irish Business Network of New Zealand from a small volunteer group to a thriving organisation supporting hundreds of business leaders across five regional hubs, I've discovered that transformation happens when you help people unlock their own potential.
My "why" is deeply personal. After completing my MBA and working across diverse sectors - from civil construction to government to not-for-profits - I recognised a pattern. The businesses and leaders who truly thrived weren't necessarily the smartest or best-resourced. They were the ones who combined strategic thinking with practical implementation, who built systems that worked without them, and who created cultures where people felt empowered to contribute their best work.
